Tom Wimer Trucking was started in May of 1994, when Tom (my dad) purchased a 1977 Peterbilt Conventional 359. The truck had a Cummins Big Cam I 400, Fuller 13 speed, and 4.11 to 1 geared SQHD rearends. It originally had a 30-inch sleeper with a crawl through entry. He later added a 60" Kenworth sleeper with a walk in entry Shown in the pictures. The truck has also been upgraded to an 8 bag Kenworth suspension.
Dad has recently purchased an N14 Cummins engine. This engine is completely electronic down to the potentiometer instead of a gas pedal. This of course required the installation of a Fuller 17 speed. Now instead of 400 HP the engine is putting out around 500 HP. This makes the hills a lot easier to climb. In late 1998 the whole truck was painted, at the same time he put on a 63" Peterbilt sleeper. The paint scheme is close to the on the cab in these pictures. (New pictures soon, I hope)

The also truck has many additional features, which include: an AM/FM cassette, a Clarion 6 CD changer, a cellular phone, TV/VCR, an electric cooler, a passenger side air seat, and a Zero Start battery powered heater for the engine.
The engine swop and all other repairs made on the truck are done in dad's shop in Ferdinand. My brother, Chuck, is a diesel mechanic and helps with the repairs.
